"Mark who?!"

Yes, Stevie, Mark Knopfler. You're old enough to know who he is. He's 56 and can sing better than Britney. Also, he's richer, cooler, more skilled, and more of a legend. Don't worry, i'm only having you on, as usual.

There is Mark Knopfler:

While i'm sitting here i've decide to compile a list of the greatest drum intros ever, inspired by Mrack getting me to play them on Saturday. So far i have a top 3:

Metallica - Enter Sandman
Guns N' Roses - You could be mine
The Stone Roses - Elephant Stone

But since my music collection got wiped ages ago, all i have is a stack of about 40 CD's. No worries, i'll get more.....

Let's go with the crowd....

Haha.

If you read this, post a memory of me, can be anything you want, good or bad, so long as it happened, blah blah.

This post may soon be replaced by some quality pics of Mark Knopfler....

I've just had such an idea

Why don't they show "24" box sets on long haul flights?? Movies only take up two hours, but sitting watching through something like 24 would make the 7 1/2 hours to NYC fly. That was one class unintended pun right there.

Mind The Gap

So, just back from London where we finished a good and successful school swimming year. All team events this weekend, and the bronze medal was added to the tally. If we'd had our strongest team out & no injuries, we would've won it. But we gave the english guys a good scaring.

We were staying in a pretty grand hotel, with the Campbell & Colraine guys, which was good as everyone knows each other. London is a pretty cool place for tourists. Last night saw us land on Planet Hollywood for a big meal to celebrate. I didn't mean for that pun to be in there by the way, but it's going to stay there now, coz it's actually a good pun. So anyways, out came the party poppers on the tube for a bit of fun.

Also now officially off on study leave, with 2 exams next week. Also jazz band is over for this term, which sucks, as it is immense. I gather Davey Howell pulled off some pretty cool sax solos today....

The Button

I have just discovered such a cool button. On Windows Media Player. And while typing i've just discovered that it's even cooler. It's a "fast play" button. One click speeds the song up 1.4x. Another speeds it up 2x. Then another up to a crazy 5x faster. It is good fun, and will entertain me for weeks. I'm now listening to "Learn to Fly" sped up by 2x. How cool.
