The American CD Cases

You've just bought yet another classy CD from an American record store. You've snapped it up for half of the rip off prices that they charge over here. So you have it at home. First you spend at least 10 minutes trying to get the damn plastic wrapping off without scratching the case. After that, you are so close; you can almost feel the music. You go to open the case: but it won't open. Why won't the case open? You scan around it, and notice that there is a big, clear, plastic seal clenching over the top of the CD case. You begin to mutter with agitation as you spend the next 10 minutes of your life getting the damn thing off. After all that time, your CD is ready to go, and you can rock out.

Yup, that's the American CD packaging. I ended up with 18 of these CD's in my hand luggage coming back from America, a good few hundred dollars lighter. Still, since they were all a tiny price of the what the money-snatchers charge over here, i can't complain at all.

I'll take it everybody got the hint that i'm back from the land of the States: and how awesome it was. Highly entertaining for the full 2 weeks that i was there. Maybe i'll highlight some of the best bits soon, along with my 80-odd photos.

Anyways, i have 2 weeks of doing whatever i want now, cause i can't swim in the Irish Nationals because of my right eardrum which resembles more of a polo mint right now. Ah well, i'm off to listen to some of my Electric Six CD. Guess where i bought it?!
