Concertingotisdsdkf

So, i've just had a fun night of concerting, as we all winged it and came pretty much out on top! The whole percussion thing was pretty buzzing, especially for only a one night concert. It had timps, a gong, a tubular bell, bongos, congas, shakers and all sorts of whizzy things. And that big drum kit. How i ended up becoming "head" drummer beats me (haha, get the pun?!), but it's well worthwhile going to school for!

Let's see, highlights. That gong which is the size of a house was pretty cool. Cookies trombone solo with all the slides was legendary! The jazz band were fully in the zone, while Davey Howell stood up conducting looking swazz in his black shirt and silky white tie. Such a jazzer. Nobody thankfully screwed up Synchronicity, which we've spent years of time going over, and Nick winged the singing part. Apart from that all the other stuff was cool, and apparently "Run" (that Snow Patrol song) was pretty classy. For the record, the original version of Run bores me to the moon and back. So anyways we had the fireworks and all that crap, so i think people enjoyed it....and Rory's dad got most of the stuff recorded, score!
