A Bit more of the Irish Craziness
The band that i'm currently listening to is The Dropkick Murphys. It goes like this. Stevie comes round to my house to "chill" before we go to the Stars in Yer Eyes thing last night.
So, he's sitting there, trying to work out my "split style/Matrix style" keyboard while browsing through my all my music, looking puzzled as he doesn't know who on earth half the bands in there are, when he comments on the "Irish drinking song" i was playing (The original folk song version of Whiskey in the Jar). He mentioned at how his American buddies were playing a band called Dropkick Murphys down their Xbox live microphones. So we got downloading some of their stuff, then left the house at 7.27, aiming for a 7.30 start up at Lagan College. Excellent.
For some reason, i'd always known about these guys, and i knew they were something to do with Irish music. But i didn't realise how class they are. It's sort of Irish punk, and i think Stevie will agree with me that it fully rules. The band are from Boston funnily enough.
I'll also take this moment to apologise for putting up the spam-encouraging thread of the "One word story" on the message board. When i posted it i sorta forgot that it would be pretty pointless crap. Which is why i don't bother posting on it. Anyways, it'll make good old Stevie happy, as it is an excellent excuse for him to continue his campaign for complete domination of the message board. With 26% of all the total posts, he's well on his way. Be scared people.
